Bio

I am an interpreter at the beautiful Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta. In Waterton we have a robust interpretation program: our team develops and delivers a wide swath of programing, everything from street theatre to day-long conservation hikes.  I have worked in interpretation for both Parks Canada and Alberta Parks and am passionate about connecting folks to place. I have a theatre and performing arts background and my artsy-inclinations definitely infuse the programs that I create and deliver.  This winter I will be developing signage that will be added to a pre-existing interpretive exhibit. The exhibit explores the Whitebark Pine tree and it’s importance to the alpine ecosystem. I intend to use this class to help guide me while I develop the concept and copy for these new signs and to provide me with feedback during the development process.
