Every Interp Academy course includes live online webinars. The dates and times of these are published well in advance and we expect you to attend if you are able. They usually last two hours, depending on the course, and include some combination of the following activities:

  1. Check in and discussion—a chance to bring up any thoughts, questions, or reflections on the work you’ve been doing
  2. Interactive learning—we use tools like Mentimeter and Nearpod in real time so that you’re not just passively attending a webinar; you’re filling out quizzes, giving your reactions, playing learning games, and so on.[1]These tools are proving very popular with introverted learners who are able to contribute, ask questions, and make comments in writing rather than waiting their turn to speak in front the group
  3. Group work and discussion—we use breakout rooms so you and a small group of fellow learners can work through an assignment and report back to the plenary group
  4. Q and A—we take time to answer any questions that have come up; these can be voiced aloud, or written into the chat box or the Mentimeter window

This was after a challenging session on updating our interpretive themes to be more relevant
Ok this one was just for fun

There’s one more lesson in this unit for those who haven’t created a login; to complete the course, please go back to the main course page and setup your login. Thanks.
